One of my biggest 'aha' moments in my journey was the acceptance that my pain did not make me special. I wore that pain better than I wore my own skin. I was convinced that embracing the pain was the only way to move forward. I was obtuse to the reality that the pain were concrete shoes in a 6' high lake. I am 5'3". My pain did not make me special, I was still able to produce. When I embraced that truth the limitations of my mind expanded exponentially.
